Is the Cannect app free?
Yes, the app is free for anyone to download and use. For every event created, the first 10 admissions are also free. All additional participant pay a small fee per admission, unless a sponsor prepays for more free admissions.
Does every participant always have to pay individually?
No, anybody can prepay admissions as a donation to the event so more participants can join for free.
What payments does Cannect accept?
The Cannect app accepts payments through the payment system of your mobile device. The available payment methods depend on the mobile device and service provider.
What is encoded in the event QR code?
The QR code contains a link to this website and the event's unique identifier. When the Cannect app is installed on your mobile device, scanning the QR code will directly open the app and open the select the event encoded in the QR code.
Can I join without the app?
No, you need to install the app to join an event.
Can I create my own event?
Yes, creating a new event is simple and comes with 10 free admissions. Make sure you share the link and/or the QR code with other participants to get your event going.
Can I hide my event so it is only accessible for selected participants?
By not making the location of the event visible, it can only be found by its event identifier. You then need to share the unique event code so participants can manually join, or you publish the QR code to make registration even easier.
Can I join an event without granting access to my location?
Yes, but you will need to scan the QR code or manually enter the unique event identifier to join.
